Can I have many many flowers and plants in my room?

Can I have many many flowers and plants in my room?
I wanna buy a lot of plants to make my room looks and feels like jungle  
but some people say that is dangerous for the health, breath... to sleep with many plants.
I have only one window and I have not ventilation hole, so in winter season I will not open the window at all. I hope that me and my plants can survive together against all those adversities. 
What do you think? Is not dangerous? Can I? Some advice?
