Speckledust:
Lovely dress!
Forgot to say that the Swedish embassy in London also charge alot extra for passports etc which is why I always do mine when in Sweden. Luckely mine is due to expire in 2008 anyway.

Nice and sunny here in London!

I started looking in London with the idea to buy in Sweden. Found 'the one' which was reduced to half price a few weeks later so bought it. But I did phone a few jewlers in Sweden first to compair price and it was higher than the sale price. They said it might be difficult to find a 0.83 VVS1 River, strange I thought. Also wanted asscher cut which I haven´t seen in Sweden yet. Will get our wedding bands (plain) in Sweden as they are cheaper.
Think London is better if you want something that is slightly different from a brilliant solitair or eternity ring. It also depends on how the currency is at the given time.

Hope you both had a fab day, can't wait to hear all about it!
The prices seemed to be roughly the same as long as you wanted a popular Swedish ring (pricess solitair or brilliant eternity ring etc). Not sure about the internet though.
Think the more 'unusual' rings (larger size, cut, better quality etc) are cheaper in the UK as they are more common and the competition greater than in Sweden. I would do a bit of shopping around if I were you. Remember you (they do it for you!) can haggle in places like Hatton Garden in London (great place for window shopping for ideas, or what you do not want which how it was for me ).

Congratulations! The pictures are so beautiful!

Fun that the paper came and did a piece! I have spoken to the local paper a few weeks ago and they are going to do a thing on John's stag which will take place in Orebro - not my idea...
tree
Congratulations!
Mum and I have also payed the desposit and signed the papers on a house for me and my sister to use when in Sweden, it's so exciting.
There is now less than 4 weeks to our wedding and most things seems to be sorted, just the finishing touches left. Any hymns to recomend where the music in the same in Swedish and Englisih? Have e-mailed the organist but not heard from him yet.
The house is just outside Kopparberg i Bergslagen, 50 min fran Orebro, and 200kvm+ with view of the lake from all rooms but 2 (total 6 rooms). It's on 2 plots of land so we are planning to build a double garage with guest facilities above - exciting stuff!
Started with the seating plan last night and was done in less than 1 hour, quite surprised it wasn't more difficult than than - maybe I've missed something. Decided in the end to keep the english couples together and slip the swedes and have that way hopefully please everyone. Going for an interiview at the council tomorrow to get a marriage licence.
Also got a long 'to-do' list but it's mostely little things.
We have an appointment at the town hall regarding the marriage licence today and it should be ready for collection 25/04 as the church wants it a week before.
Just been to the council to register notice of marriage which was basically to give them our names, address, date of birth, when and where we are getting married. The whole thing took 20 minutes and costed £60! A rip-off if you ask me.
I'm back after having spent the last 12 days outside Liverpool working non-stop on the local elections - not exactely the kind of thing I would recomend to do pre-wedding. The good thing is that there has been no time to stress about next Friday (4th May!).
Met the priest yesterday which went ok until she asked what John, being a catholic, thought about been wed by a woman priest. John, who never lies, said: 'Well, to be honest, I was rather dissapointed, bla bla bla'. Wanted the fllor to swollow me but hey, the agreed to differ. have decided on Jerusalem and Amasing Grace as the hymns.
Saw the florist this morning to arrange the flower, will pick up marraige licance tomorrow, facial and shopping Sat, collect mum from airport Sun etc etc - things happening all the time as you can imagine. Mum collected the wedding rings last weeks and said the engraving looks lovely.
As you can tell I'm rather hyper! Hope all is well with everyone.
Mrs. 170307
Thanks! I have been sensible enough and taken the whole of next week off so sort out the final bits and, hopefully, rest.
Will probable logg on mid next week to see what you are all up to.

Yes, I booked it months ago and my boss is not overly happy about it as work is very busy but can't say or do anything about it as it was approved by his boss!
How about:
'Many thanks for joining us celebration wedding day'
or
'Many thanks for charing our special day/weddingday with us.'
